3 Days Murchison Falls safari is a mind blowing Uganda wildlife safari package taking you on a visit to Uganda’s biggest national park, Murchison Falls national park situated in the north western part of Uganda. The park is famously known for hosting a large population of wildlife including 4 of the big five (lions, elephants, buffaloes and leopards) and Murchison falls the remarkable attraction in park. The Mighty Murchison falls are formed as a result of River Nile the longest river in the world squeezing its way through a small gorge in the Rift Valley Escarpment forming a waterfall dropping 40 meters below.

DETAILED ITINERARY OF 3 DAYS MURCHISON FALLS SAFARI  

Day 1:  pick up and transfer to Murchison Falls national park

On the 1st day of 3 days Murchison Falls safari you will have early morning breakfast, meet your safari driver-guide for pick up and set off on a drive to Murchison Falls national park in northwestern Uganda, the park is largest national park and a home to some of the largest population of wildlife in Uganda. On your way you will visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an encounter with the rhinos in their natural habitat, you will also have lunch at the sanctuary then proceed to the park. When you arrive in the park you will head to the top of the falls to where you will enjoy stunning views of the Great Nile river as it forces its way through a small gorge of 7 meters in width resulting into a thunderous drop of over 40 meters below. The falls emit a water spray creating a spectacular rainbow which is always permanent, after the mind blowing experience you will head to your lodge for dinner and over night.

Day 2: morning game drive and launch cruise

Wake up for a cup of coffee and head to the park for an early morning game drive, on this game drive you will have an opportunity to watch a variety of animals such as elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, antelopes, waterbucks, giraffes and a variety of birds living in the savannah plains of the park. Later you will head back to your lodge for late breakfast then rest for a while as you wait for lunch, in the afternoon you will head back to the park for a launch cruise on River Nile at the bottom of the falls.

Launch cruise on the Victoria Nile offers magnificent views of the falls as Nile squeezes through a small gorge of 7 members, a variety of animals such as antelopes, buffaloes and elephants on the shores of the river, hippos and crocodiles in the waters of the river and many birds such as papyrus gerenuk, shoe bill among others. After the experience you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 3: Departure

After breakfast at your lodge, you will checkout and set off on a drive heading back to Kampala, on your way you will have lunch in Masindi and when you reach in Kampala you will be dropped off either the Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight back home or at any place of your choice.
